I have a current account with RBS. Around the weekend of the TSB "system error" .. 31st April I was using by debit card as usual, a big shop, plus a few bits. I have five transactions that have never appeared on my statement .. totalling £122.43. Money I have spent but not paid. I expected it would catch up with me at some stage so always make allowances for the fact the £122 isn't mine so I shouldn't spend it but three months later it is becoming a pain to keep allowing for it. Is there a deadline when it becomes mine / should I contact TSB. Any legal ideas / thoughts / advice please.

They have 6 years to chase the debt.0

Just move the £122 into a seperate account so you don't have to keep worrying about it.
Yes you still owe the money. It becomes yours again after 6 years. Well technically it doesn't become yours as you still owe it, but they can no longer legally chase you for it.
There was a similar thing with Tesco a few months ago. They took 3 or 4 months to take payments that had been made.0 -
How is a current account with RBS affected by the meltdown at TSB? Or did you mean the current account is with TSB?
In any case, if it's been 3 months, then the bank would need to treat you fairly in asking for the money, meaning giving you notice and if needed time to repay it. It would not be reasonable to just debit your account without warning.0 -

A late presentment chargeback can be filed if the processing date is more than 180 days after the transaction date.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
The vendors / shops I bought from must have had TSB accounts that didn't try to collect the money I owe from my RBS account.0

It doesn't work like that though - there are a number of intermediaries between the retailer and your bank, and the retailers bank doesn't really come into it. The transaction details go from the retailer to a 'merchant acquirer' (who handles the transactions on behalf of the retailer, may provide them with card readers etc ). The acquirer then passes the details onto the appropriate card company (Visa/Mastercard/Amex etc) who then in turn pass the details on to the bank that have issued the card (in this case RBS), who pass the money back.
So I can't really see how the issues with TSB would stop your transactions being paid by your bank out of your account.0 -

Thanks for the clarification. In that case there probably is a risk of the payment being put through by the retailer's payment processor at a later date. The vendors / shops I bought from must have had TSB accounts that didn't try to collect the money I owe from my RBS account.
If it's the retailers' services that have been affected, I wonder if there are a lot of others who are affected and have not noticed. It could be in the news if and when payments are finally taken. It seems odd that there has been no media coverage already - presumably all those retailers affected will not have received their money and would probably want to raise awareness for the benefit of customers who are affected.0
