Moving Joint Fuel Supplier

I am trying to move from Utility Warehouse I have tried to join Tonik but have received a bizarre letter from Tonik saying "we have recently attempted to take over your supply, however we have been rejected from doing so due to your meter being registered for hourly readings". I have tried to call Tonik (sorry O meant Utility Warehouse) but without success and constantly held in a queue because my call is important to them. I have no smart meter and am at a lost to know what 'hourly meter readings' are. I submit a monthly reading only. Does anyone know what this is and how to get out of this current dual fuel contract? I have already transferred my BroadBand so guess I will continue to have to pay Utility Warehouse for the whole package...

It sounds like you've had a lucky escape!
Forget about them.
Consult a comparison site to find the best deals for you - yes look at seperate suppliers as they often save you even more.
Hopefully, when you choose this time, you won't get such a bad supplier.0 -
It is Utility Warehouse I am trying to leave and who don't answer their phone. It seems I am locked with them due to this bizarre hourly meter reading I was never aware of. I used a comparison site (in here actually) which found significant savings with Tonik.0
