Hi i've had a cap 1 card for 7yrs have decided to pack it in as i'm up to my limit of £1,600 my min payment a mth is £48 which i can just about afford so i rang them up last week after a few disagreements they decided that i could cancel my account and pay back my balance monthly i asked if they could reduce my APR so they did from 32% down to 28% but yesterday i received a letter to tell me as from 27th november the interest rate is going up again i tried ringing but its like talking to robots whats the best way to go about this why say ok to 28%APR then decide a few days later to whack it up again just wondered if the same has happened to anyone else
