Skype - new version problems

Those contacts I have managed to contact, and myself, are all having big problems with the latest version of Skype - which will be mandatory after September.


Does anyone know of an 'idiots guide' to the new version?

Im also having problems,audio is ok, but can only get video on a very tiny screen.
Ive reverted to old version till this is fixed,im always amazed that companies can launch a product thats not fully tested.

I'm using the old version also since I heard a lot of issues with the latest one.

The problems seem intermittent on my Desktop.


e.g Although Skype is open and I am on-line(indicated by a green dot against my name), I am sometimes not shown as on-line to other callers.


Other times I am called(Skyped!) and nothing happens on my Laptop to indicate a call.
