I bought the above phone SIM free and used it for few in London as was going to use on holiday
Am abroad and my brother in law put his Sim in it and now asking for password why is asking

Because the SIM card has been changed. It is part of the security features of the phone. The password will either be one you use to unlock the phone or the Samsung account password depending on how the security has been set up.
