We are looking at buying a new house and the surveyor has identified cracking around the bay window.
I have pictures but unsure how to add them??????
I do not see this as a major issue although agree it needs to be sorted.
One thing i have noticed is that it does not appear that the brickwork is tied into the brickwork of the house?
Any thoughts welcome!!!

i am fairly sure we can work out the http:// bit and the dot0 -
Bays in older houses were built on very minimal foundations and it is common for them to move as a result.
They need tying back into the main house and making good afterwardsEat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
The bay base is 10 courses high and supports only the lounge window and 2x 1x ft side windows. The roof if you can call it that is a 2x tile pitch which is led sheeted into the main brickwork.
The base however only appears to but up to the face of the main house with the crack showing the length of the mortar join on either side of the bay.
I would post the pictures but i dont have any social media options to reference.
Thanks all for your engagement here.\
How serious an issue is this likly to be?0
