Advise required - One Parking Solution parking notice

Hi
I need some help with a PCN that was issued by One Parking Solution LTD.

In April I stopped in an area behind shops to grab a coffee from Starbucks, i was parked less than 10 minutes and was not aware that it was a pay and display car park. I am not the registered keeper of the vehicle.
My first step was to appeal the NTK letter with the BPA template in the Newbies thread via OPS LTD online portal. Their reply was to dismiss my appeal and state that there was a failure to display a valid pay and display ticket.
At this point I did nothing further, to which I then received letters from ZZPS Limited. I emailed them from the registered keepers address to state i had appealed the PCN and that payment would not be made. They responded to say they had no interest in my appeal and that a hold has been placed awaiting payment.
Now I have received the first letter from QDR Solicitors advising they have been instructed by ZZPS LTD to recover the debt plus various fees. It is not a LBA.

So based on the above, what are my options here? Is it a case of waiting for the LBA letter? Do i stand a chance at appeal or am i best to accept this is my error?

Let me know if you need any further info, this is my first post to this forum

What, in your name? That's not how we do it. The keeper appeals.

Yes - but you're not likely to get (a real) one. One Parking have only ever proceeded with one court claim in 3 years - and that's not necessarily a parking related one.
Do i stand a chance at appeal
Which 'appeal' do you mean? How long ago since the OPS rejection of your initial appeal?

Did they give you a POPLA appeal code?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Apologies, i was unclear. The appeal to the NTK letter was from the keeper, along with all other responses bring only from the keeper. Whilst the photo evidence from their cameras clearly shows me in the car, my name has never been given.

I've checked that link - i knew it wouldnt be QDR LTD issuing any claims letter but the PADI link showing the number of court hearings put me at ease. I assume I only have to do anything if i were to receive a claims letter now?

Their photos from their cameras show a person in the car who you recognise. How do you think they would recognise you - they've just got a random face, unless you are famous!

The cameras are not face recognition equipment - just numberplate recognition. This isn't Police, Camera, Action!

What I meant was that all replies were from the keeper, I dont expect them to use facial recognition to identify me!

I had a POPLA appeal code but i am outside of the 28 days, i didn't realise there was a limited period to appeal further to POPLA

Clearly there would be a time limit for a second stage appeal, with any issue.

Never mind, I've already shown you a link that tells you nothing will happen.
