They are listed on different exchanges.0

Which would you be buying if you were in the UK ?
Thanks0 -
It usually makes sense to buy the GBP version listed on the London Stock Exchange. The base currency is EUR regardless, but you'll avoid the forex charges when you buy and sell.0

So which one would that be. ??

SMEA traded in GBP, IMEA traded in EUR

I would suggest if you are not able to discern which is which for yourself, there is probably a lot of other information you'll miss and these are probably unsuitable investments for you.0

I don't think this is an unreasonable question to learn more about different ticker codes and symbols. I get confused all the time.

The information is in the factsheet, on the provider website and is the first result in a google search for the fund name. I freely gave the information about what the ticker codes represent, but when someone then follows up with "but which is which" that tells me they aren't prepared to do even the most basic research into what they are investing in.I don't think this is an unreasonable question to learn more about different ticker codes and symbols. I get confused all the time.
If the OP now takes the information provided by Linton and goes and accidentally buys SMEA on the Borsa Italiana index, then it won't be the GBP version they end up with.
The OP recently started a remarkably similar thread asking the same question about a remarkably similar ETF: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/74558251#Comment_74558251
The above leads me to believe some tough love is required

Appreciate your thoughts and opinion masonic.
I would say that funds for me are quite complicated and without asking questions I will never be able to learn.
Also the knowledge imparted by you and others may be a help to others besides myself.
Cheers.0
