I have finally had the case closed in my favour , yay. However, eBay couldn't resist yet another of their little nagging emails reminding me that buyers have a right to receive the item on the date estimated and in future I should not delay posting !I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Anyone else here remember the "good old days" when we were allowed up to 28 days for mail order? Got quite excited when the item arrived within a fortnight :-)0

I think it's the Amazon effect. We have all got used to being able to get things delivered next day that we forget that a lot of sellers on eBay, even business ones, don't have their own delivery infrastructure so have to rely on Royal Mail or other couriers.
The postscript to the last story above is that I have a late defect for posting late as well, even though it went next day as advertised.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I can't be the only mildly organised cheapskate who'd rather only pay for second class and orders things far enough ahead of time for that to work? I even try and leave enough time to send it back and try again if a mistake has been made  !
Why can't eBay just let you put in the delivery estimate yourself instead of making up numbers? It certainly doesn't make it "easier" when I list to have to scroll through their many options to find 2nd class instead of just putting a number in.0 -

Good. But you can't win with them, can you?
I won't send anything to America now as I found that some think that UK £'s are the same as US $'s, some hate Paypal, and they think that they either shouldn't pay shipping, or they will argue the toss over it (why does it cost more to send to the States, and yet you charge this to send to the UK?)
It's more trouble than it's worth.
But, just lately (slightly off topic) I have been getting people bidding on my items from both Brazil & Portugal. They've been bidding at the last moment, then asking how much posting will be when the auction ends. Zero feedback every one of them too. Which makes me a bit suspicious. I have been cancelling the orders, as my auctions clearly state UK only. Only for one of them to kick off as 'I bid and you are only one who has this'.
I've ended up finding out that my setting have changed for some reason, so I've had to tick all the places that I won't send to - which is pretty much everywhere except the UK.
And, still slightly off topic - anybody else noticed a rise in time wasters? I've sold 3 items this week, and 2 have come up with excuses why they don't want it. One said the old chestnut of 'my son got hold of my phone and bid, please cancel'. I haven't lost out, but it's frustrating. I've blocked more folk in the last couple of months, than I did all last year.
Never mind.

Happy selling
At last! I thought I was the only one whose 'no ship' settings keep changing, so whilst I am sorry you are affected I am pleased to find someone else who gets this.
I have always had Italy and the Russian Federation blocked, I don't change that setting nor do I deviate from it in any way, yet on occasions I get up to find several bids from Italy and suddenly notice half my listings ship 'worldwide' with no restrictions. eBay keep telling me it's me, but have finally admitted they can see my settings and can see they suddenly reset without my input. Incidentally I have also been told it's because it's GSP and I'm fed up of explaining to CS reps that GSP would show me a UK address to post to, not an Italian one.
I've taken to re setting my no ship settings every few days just to avoid missing another incorrect reset.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ditto!!
TBH, I thought I was going wappy when I realised what was going off. It's nice to know that it's not only me that's affected.
I mentioned it on FB the other day, and folk were coming on saying 'You should use the GPS', etc, etc. And I'm still not going to as it really is too much of a hassle sending stuff abroad. I will be checking it every couple of days for a while though, to make sure it doesn't 'magically reset'
I just want it to stay how it is, and it would help if people would read the listing description properly, and keep their brats away from their phones (or a least come up with some other lame excuse)BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.
