Help with Contacts on smart phone

I have just got a new smart phone and want to give my old one a Samsung J3 to my granddaughter but I am having a job removing all the contacts. I have done a factory re-set and removed the Google account BUT they still show up if you click on "show all contacts". They are not there for Family, Groups, Co-Workers, Device etc. Is there a way to remove them without interfering with what I want on my new phone?

If, after a full reset, the contacts are still appearing then this would suggest that they've been saved to the SIM card. Remove the SIM and check if they're still there.

Thank you so much! Easy when you know how!

This new phone needed a SIM swap so the old one was in the old phone not just transferred to the new one.
