dover is the one that threw me the mostIt's a health benefit ...0 -
7!
Went too high on the Bristol one.
Although for many of them, incl Bristol and Manchester, the price could be at any of the options depending on location.
That Mcr terrace would reach £199,950 in didsbury "village" and could be under £70k in other areas like gorton.0 -
only 4 here too... lol0

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I got 6 the same as Phirefly and beachbeth although my score were lots of lucky guesses;)
Wow Real1314 how did you get 7 was it lots of lucky guess's or do you work as an estate agent:rolleyes:
Don't worry Maypole and ameliarate have another go you'll do better now you've seen the answers:rotfl:
Most people only know their local areas its difficult to guess prices when the houses are all over the country.0 -
I worked em out off old fashioned prejudice, and the expectation that the quiz was meant to "suprise" - dover is a bit dire, but folks up north wouldn't know that so a low price, london is crazy - the highest price, the manchester one could esily be less than it was, but there wasn't a lower option, a flat within a big old property in guilford can't be over £250k, etc etc
I live in Gtr Mcr, work all over the N-W and a bit of E Yorks, spend a bit of time in Bristol and watch too much property !!!!!! TV.
One good way to get an idea of avrying prices is to look at auction results - easy ones are Edward Mellor and Pugh and Co for North West, Barnard Marcus for South/London/a bit of everywhere. They have results on-line and it opens your eyes to the prejudice we all have about prices.
And I'm not an estate agent or anything like that but I do see a lot of houses/homes in my job0 -

Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.
It's a recession when your neighbour loses his job; it's a depression when you lose yours.0 -
