I'm thinking of driving from Scotland to Newcastle for a cruise.
Does anyone know if when I book a room at Premier Inn at Royal Quays Newcastle for £30 I can park my car for 10 days and just pay for the room while I go on the cruise, instead of paying Fred. Olsen £95.00?
Or alternatively does anyone have an email address for that Premier Inn?
Or even a non 0870 phone number I can call at the weekend from my Virgin landline?

How would that be better value? £30 per night x 10nights = £300 at Premier Inn or £95 to Fred Olsen for parking. What am I missing?0 -
I think OP wants pay a one off of £30 for his night, leave his car there for nothing.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

I see. I very much doubt that would be possible. The car park would be full of cars from cruisers! Where would guest actually staying at the hotel park?0

Is Newcastle really leaving the UK by then..?0

Let us know how you get on, but for your £30 , I doubt you will get 10 days parking although one of the FAQ suggests they do let youI'm thinking of driving from Scotland to Newcastle for a cruise.

It does look to be a free carpark irrespective of the duration of your stay at the hotel.
Two very recent Trip Advisor reviews:We had a fantastic stay with a buffet breakfast and dined at the brewers fayer restraunt which is co nnected to hotel and next door. At this present time you can have two main meals for £8.99 before 6pm. We booked before hand, or you can dine after 6pm from main menu which is still very good value. The room we were in was spacious and we had a comfortable night. The added bonus is we were able to leave our car on the car park while we were on our cruise. Its not too far to walk with your luggage but we dropped our cases off and the wife stayed with them while i came back and parked the car and then walked down to the case drop off and check out building. This made it very easy for us. Location of hotel is brilliant for cruise terminal.Walking distance away and great that we could leave our car for the duration! Room very comfortable and clean and lovely staff! Not far from the lovely little town of Tynemouth, and coastal areas and a bit further for Newcastle! Set in a real shanty area but depends what the purpose of your trip is - our!!!8217;s was purposely for the ferry! Breakfast next door at the Brewer!!!8217;s fair set us up for the day with breakfast x
OP it may be worth pricing up Newcastle Airport (15 miles away) as that seems to be an option for some out of season.
Alternatively you could have a look at Just Park. There were at least two free council car parks - albeit I know nothing of their safety/convenience to the location.0 -
Yes the PI let you leave the car there, they ask for a charity donation and point out the best place to park it, ie somewhere they can see it from reception or covered by CCTV. About 10 min walk to the terminal, if you have heavy bags could always drop one of you off with them while other parks back at the PI.
You could probably park in the Royal Quays shopping centre car park free even if not staying at the PI, there didn't seem to be any signs limiting parking to customers/hours etc, but may be risky.
Parking at the port is silly price, something like £12 a day.0 -

Even if parking was free there, what would be the point?over 73 but not over the hill.0 -
Have you got an unemployed friend you could pay to drop you off and pick you up?0
