Parcelforce 24h delivery late?

I've bought an item that I need before the weekend. Paid for 24hours delivery. This morning the tracker said:

27/7/2018 2:xx National Hub Sorted
26/7/2018 19:06 Solent Depot On route to hub
26/7/2018 15:43 Solent DepotCollected
25/7/2018 16:58 WestmeadsCollected

Just past 9 it updated to:

27/7/2018 9:11 National Hub Sorted

I know it was handed to the delivery office too late to arrive on Thursday. but seeing this, and that the parcel still has to travel to Edinburgh I guess I won't be receiving this before Monday, right? Can someone confirm?

Btw, delivery is to an office address that has an agreement with Royal mail to not deliver anything over the weekend. I don't know if there's a cutoff time in the evening as well. what's the last time of delivery Parcel Force normally has?

The m6 was shut all day yesterday near Preston. Traffic was delayed for several hours following diversions and some traffic was trapped on the motorway late into the night. Any service transporting goods by road will have had huge delays yesterday.

Thanks a lot. *sigh* Looks like I'm always unlucky with 24hr delivery, either items I really need last minute before a certain date, or food items arrive rotten after 3 days.
