Terraced house window sill advice

Hello,

We have a 2 up 2 down terraced house. I want to try and tidy up the front. We have had new windows and will eventually get a new door, but, for now i'm looking to paint the sills.

It looks like the two top windows don't have sills so i'm wondering what to do about painting? Usually I'd paint the lintel and sills to match all 3 windows.

Also, should the door colour match the sills?

What a pretty house, I see what you mean. The top windows do not have the same sills but they do have the tails on either side so I would paint the lower sill the same as the windows otherwise the outline will not match

I agree. That's a nice interesting facade and I would paint the lower sill the same colour as the window surrounds.

Thank you both for your replies! Are the tails part of the window frame? (the rosewood colour?). Also, sorry are the window surrounds the window frames?
