For the last few days, my HP Envy laptop (W10) has been a problem.
Sometimes as I flit from fav page to page, I'm greeted with this (obviously the name changes, dependent where I'm going). I appreciate it gives a couple of suggestions to follow through, but I dare not because I would be unknown territory and would be bound to do something wrong.
I also see this message on start up sometimes. I had an ad-blocker called ublock (I think it was, ) so removed that, now have ABP, but the message appears frequently.

Would it be advisable to do a factory reset?

Just type RUN whether you think there's an option to type or not, a list of matches will come up the first of which should be the RUN app.0

I think I've done it. Found the box, entered ipconfig /flushdns pressed enter then saw a split second flash, as described in the link, so presumably it's ok now. will reboot and report back.
PS, it appears to be working fine now thanks. I have to go out, but will give a thorough test when I get back and let you know. Thanks for your patience.
