Hi,
We are looking to go away somewhere for a short UK break but really struggling with booking anywhere with having 6 children! Age ranges are 10, 9, 4, 3, 3, and 1 so most very young.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what/where we should be looking please? Cost is obviously a factor too.
Thanks Jo x

Hundreds of holiday cottages out there with 4+ bedrooms.0

We also have 6 children, we tend to book villas with sufficient capacity, but it aint cheap! I expect there are sites with UK houses/cottages etc that will cater in a similar fashion. Try the Home and Away website, we tend to use that one for France/Spain and Italy as it is cheaper than the others and I think they have UK property too.
We also go camping sometimes, not for everyone but it does work out much more affordable.
Other than that you might get a static caravan that sleeps 8?
I think Forest Holidays cater for 8 and maybe Centre Parcs too, but you may have to sit down before you look at their prices in school holiday time.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
I know a lot of people hate them, but we like the Haven sites, they have enough activities/entertainment to suit most ages, so we as parents get a bit of a holiday too. You can take your own caravan/tent (which is usually the cheapest option), book accommodation with Haven - everything from a ready pitched tent to a lodge, but mostly static caravans, or you can book with private owners which might be cheaper - often you have to buy entertainment passes on top of the owner's price, but you would only need them for your children that are 5 and above, so it might work out cheaper than booking with Haven as they include the passes in the cost of the holiday. you could try here

Try AirBnB?
Eg:

https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/21640038?location=Cornwall&adults=2&children=5&home_collection=1&s=4v1py0AA
They tend to be much cheaper than booking through a cottage agent or with a large company like Butlins ...
But many are booked up by now.0 -
No idea of the cost as daughter paid, and we just paid our share, as were not going for full week.
But she's booked a chalet on illfracombe holiday park.
Two storeys, three bedrooms and sleeping in living room. Will be one child plus six adults, but believe there's enough space for eight.
Edited to add, as I said I don't know full costsbut it can't have been too hugely expensive as daughter wouldn't have been able to afford it. As she's paid the most as she's staying full week.0
