New mobile roaming service - keep your UK number

This post also appears in the 'mobiles' forum, but I thought people on the travel forum might find its content useful. Feel free to move if not.

A friend of a friend has just emailed me about this new service:

https://www.uk2abroad.com

I've only had a quick look but it looks impressive: I'm going to the US shortly and it looks like I will save over 60% on call charges vs. roaming. The key thing is that I get to keep my UK mobile number AND get a local US mobile number to use while I'm in California. I'm going to place an order with them tomorrow- the SIMs are very good value- and will let all at MSE know how I get on.

Their press release: http://www.uk2abroad.com/press-cove...ease_310305.pdf gives more details.

Cheers,

Car.
