Help please, LBC received from Gladstone solicitors

Hi there,

I have today received a letter before claim letter from Gladstones solicitors. It is regarding a parking fine dated 26/09/17 & the client is ES parking enforcement LTD. I vaguely remember receiving a letter at the time however, was in the process of moving house & think the letter was discarded. I moved house & did not hear anything else until today, a "letter before claim" requesting payment of £160 before 2nd August (so approx 1 week!) For the "offence". They did enclose a copy of a previous letter before claim that was sent to my old address dated 5th June 2018. I did not receive a copy of this letter however. I believe it was a private car park but it was out of hours..

Any advice/guidance in terms of where I stand? It is a genuine Gladstones letter, not from a debt collector however, apart from the initial letter advising me of the charge (in 2017), this is the first bit of legal correspondence I have received. I have only received the letter today, 26/07 & they are demanding payment by 2nd August. I am also due to give birth in just over a week (kinda irrelevant I know), but could do without this right now!

Any advice would be much appreciated.
