Having been pestered for months to change to Chrome and now, since quite a few web sites are stopping "support" for IE 11, I have installed Chrome. Thanks goodness I kept IE 11 as well. Chrome is so SLOW to start, just to get to the home page.
Anybody else having this experience and how did you solve it - aside from uninstalling Chrome! I have tried all of Chrome's own suggestions to speed up to no avail.

Chrome is very quick to start up normally, have you got any add-ons?
Edit: BTW what does the thread title meanGoogle Chrome er... No LEAD!0 -
Can't say I have had that issue, but I use Firefox, IE11 and Chrome and in that order generally.
General use Firefox then depending on hardware or website being accessed. Chrome mainly for Chromecast casting and IE 11 for a Samsung Webcam.0 -
Yeah it takes a whole 2.4 seconds for chrome to load for the first time after a reboot.
Opera takes 3 seconds.
Firefox took 1.6 seconds but im already running that.
Edge takes 3 seconds also.
I set them to load google only and none of that speed dial or suggested site rubbish they add to the browsers.

The recent versions of Firefox are now much faster than Chrome. I've switched back.0

Edit: BTW what does the thread title mean , it makes no sense to me.
Lead, the dense metal. To denote slow and heavy, instead of light and sprightly.0 -
