    On the basis that it can take that long to update. The only parts of a credit report that update same day are searches, and some pay day loans where the provider uses the MODA system.

    In the meantime make sure you are on the electoral role as that takes about 6 weeks to follow through as well. Once your cards are paid off, do not close them. Keep them open.

    Defaults drop off and become less significant over time.
