Accepting a return from ZERO feedback buyer.

HI all,



I recently sold an item for £300 (new and sealed car part) and it was delivered yesterday at 3.15pm. This morning buyer wants to return as the part doesn't fit his vehicle.


Buyer had just signed up to buy the item and has zero feedback.

Ebay have automatically authorised the return.

Is there any value in inspecting the returned item before accepting delivery?

Anything else I should be wary of?

Ultimately eBay will force the refund even if you find an issue with it. They do have an appeals process if something is amiss.

Wait for it to come back and take it from there.

You don't really get a choice. They return something and they get a refund, even if its an empty box or not the item you sold.

One of the pitfalls when selling online.
