Got call today-advising against early trade in though could possibly work a deal.
Mentioned PCP (only cause my mileage is 5-6k app p.a.)
Unbelievably annoying that I can;t purchase a radio or Apple Play as I can't find anyone who can either provide a facia or cut a bit of existing facia.
Been using iphone -not bad though lets be honest it's not exactly stereo tunes.
I'll be interested to know if trade in clears finance + maybe a small deposit if I go ahead and purchase another car -if this is possible at all maybe I'll re consider which car I want.

Mechanically tremendous -until the most annoying audio fault I've ever experienced.
There are used head units on ebay -£150 approx-+£100 to install +(36+25 diags)
I could in effect be spending hundreds in hope that a used unit from ebay works.
I'm in the mood for another car t.b.h. Whatever the cost.
Aiming to keep similar costs all be it prob starting 4yrs finance again.

I've never been restricted to stereos like this before -just unlucky.

I honestly wish there was an adaptor facia -I'm yet to find one.
I've been quoted £100 to install an e-bay unit. From the diags company.

Thanks I have a local audio company asking their contacts if such a facia is available.
I wont know until tomorrow;
I did try Connect2 who provided s stalk lead adaptor for my sb11 Clio when I had a pioneer stereo purchase and installed via Halfords.

Any bluetooth stereo would suffice.
Though considered double din. Apple Pay -either Kenwood or Sony.
Can't beleive it's the lack of a facia that's stopping a stereo installation...aghhhhh

Called the other almost local audio company whom. I called a few days earlier.
Possible facia-they are requesting measurements to establish which radio could be installed.
If it's suitable-then it will be purchased from ebay and delivered from EU.
I'm expecting a call Tues next week when I could order and possibly discuss suitable stereos.
Almost a miracle compared to last weekend.
IPhone 8 served well with google maps+bbc radio player-wasn't bad at all.
Tomorrow I'm honestly interested to know if I can get finance if required for another car if required

You really really need to move away from changing your car just to not have to put a £400 stereo in to it.

Whilst the monthly figures may remain similar, the fact its a PCP deal is disguising what in the grand theme of things is probably a deal costing you x10 what the stereo would cost. AND, on top of all that you're still going to have to pay for the £400 stereo anyway as they'll simply be knocking it off the trade in value. :eek:

Why would you want to damage your credit history for a while by just checking whether you can get finance? See if you can get the new fascia fitted. Other than that, bluetooth speakers would be another option...

All going well I'll be collecting a 64 plate Clio -similar medianavtech tech model.
Slightly different engines -.09 where my trade in is with my 1.2.
Have hopefully gone PCP route this time-took quite some convincing.
Basically my new payments are approx £37 per month less though re starting 4 yrs initially.
This is the new bit I'm not used to -I can pay 3 or 3.5 k payment to take ownership after 4 yrs or return it to garage or return and start a new car agreement -seems choices are fine, maybe it will work to my favour-still a little uncertain if the guaranteed value will be accurate -particularly with electric vehicles on the horizon-will those lower the value of pertol or diesel cars in next few years.
I still have to either make or take a call from audio place on tues-I'm honestly tempted to purchase the facia if available and maybe get Apple Car play installed in my soon to be driven Clio.
Been an interesting day-if this deal goes ahead.
