    Thanks for your input. If it's standard practice for an EA to contact the purchaser's EA, then that's fair enough. I didn't know this and that's the reason I started the thread. I still think that courtesy would dictate that the ask for the details rather than take them from Righmove, and that they should have let me know they'd be contacting the other agent- but not the huge data infringement I originally thought!

    You've not mentioned anything re the fact that actually you should be using it to your advantage.


    Play them off against each other. If they know you're keen on another property, they will push their client harder to accept (as me and others have said).
