Can a standard number plate be transferred to another car? I have seen some quirkey reg numbers on ordinary plates, can they be transferred to other cars. As it would give the impression of a older/younger vehicle.

You can give the impression of an older car but not a newer one. I have just added my 1998 R reg plate to a new 2018 reg car.
My new car was reg in Jan 2018 so I could not, for example, transfer on an 18 plate which was only avalible for cars reg after 1st March 2018,0 -
The car losing the plate just needs to have a valid MOT, and is given a new age related plate.0
