Motorbike depreciation value

I'm going to be part exchanging my 3 year old Kawasaki ER6F, probably for a Honda NC750X as my commute has changed drastically. At the moment my ER6F has approximately 4,000 miles on it. It'll probably have about 5,000 on the clock when I'm ready to do the deal on a new bike. If I decide to keep my ER6F for a bit longer and pile on the mileage to about 7,500, would it make much difference to the price I could expect to get for it.

I know very little about how the value is affected by the mileage, but I need to get a good price and I don't know whether to bite the bullet and get one before I start the long commutes of about 85 miles per day or hang onto mine until I can't cope being cramped everyday.

Condition is much more important than mileage on a used motorcycle. Use https://www.webuyanybike.co.uk/ or take your Kawasaki to a dealer for a realistic valuation.

  • as above , condition , not milage , ensure that the bike has service history as well

timing is another thing , early in summer is good , when its snowing is not the time to sell (but a good time to buy!)
