    quick question

Not sure if this is the right place for it but anyway -

Is it better value to use my Nationwide card to access money in New York or should i buy some dollars in the post office before I leave.

Secondly, if we make a big purchase eg, a camera of maybe $600 is it better to use a credit card ( for consumer protection) ?

    Many thanks in advance :T

  • Hope it all goes well tomorrow Neil.

We're off down to Gatwick tomorrow afternoon - twilight check in and Travelodge overnight, flying Saturday morning (:j). It has been mad at work all week and will be even crazier tomorrow, so I guess this is it........
Thanks, and here's to the $ continuing it's upward momentum  .

    Have a good one Jackie.
At least we know it can't go lower whilst you're not watching ;)

  • (GBP) The Halifax UK house price index falls 1.9% m/m in Mar, contradicting the 0.9% m/m increase reported by the Nationwide. The Halifax 3mth y/y measure nevertheless firms up slightly, to -17.5%, from -17.7% y/y in the 3mths to Feb.

The Halifax measure contrasts with the market consensus of -1% m/m (-17.3% y/y), so those bulls who bought GBP on the back of the Nationwide report released only yesterday, may be wondering if they got a little too excited about the state of the UK housing market. All eyes now on the Mar CIPS services sector survey at 09:30.
