  • I'm in the midlands. Rugeley to be precise. Crap hole of an old mining town. The only thing that comes to my town is the plague and tumbleweed.
i've probably seen him on tv there before and it's never registered.

and you lived to tell the tale? count yourself lucky!
I'm originally from the, ahem, much classier uttoxeter. where on a race day the only way to tell the difference between the women and the horses is the number of legs
  • 10:15 05Mar09 MARKET TALK: Profit Taking Weighs On GBP/USD

1015 GMT GBP/USD is one cent off the sessions 1.4235 high. A trader sees this as nothing more than profit taking ahead of the BOE's 1200 GMT announcement. Adds the overnight rally above 1.42 did look overcooked. Housing data from the Halifax probably didn't help sterling's cause, with the bank reporting prices dropped 2.3% in February. GBP/USD now at 1.4138. (GST)

you not only survived "the shining" but also the "little thief" next door. that's truly a tale to tell the grand kids :)
I worked at the towers in '91 after leaving 6th form for the summer. minimum wage but great days. was in the arcades. either filling up the teddy bear cranes (great for a spotty teenager to chat up / get blown out by the ladies) or on the balloon race game on a mic..

you only have 1 1/4hrs - you better be quick!

can't see it making much difference to be honest. Markets already know that QE will be introduced, so its not going to come as a surprise.

CABLE is the nickname given to fx trades between USD and GBP. Due to the the steel cable that was laid under the Atlantic Ocean in 1858 to telegraphically link us with the Septics.
