Moving Garden Tap?

I have a garden tap which will be inside after an extension is finished, with this in mind i want it moving around the corner of the house (about 5 feet) out of the way.
A friend told me that a plumber would not move the tap instead make a new one by drilling through the wall from the kitchen, i don't want another copper pipe going in another direction, would rather the existing connection be somehow moved round the corner.
Is this possible?

You're paying the bill - the plumber will do what you tell him unless it contravenes any regulations.

More or less anything will be possible but what matters is what is the best solution.

Talk to a plumber rather than relying on what your friend thinks a plumber will say.

Rerouting the existing tap might be the best option.

A new one through the kitchen wall might be the best option.

Nobody can advise you properly unless they know the current and planned layout of the house and the existing pipework.

Don't worry about 'another copper pipe going in another direction' if that is the best option.

That might make far more sense than rerouting the existing pipework.
