Swift advances

Hello all,
I am using the resolver site to claim back PPI,
I'm looking to claim from a company called swift advances plc of Brentwood, Essex.
However on the resolver site it is not recognising that company name?

It brings up
swift,
Swift caravans

Swift credit services

Does anyone know if swift advances are part of another company?

Any advice appreciated

If that's a broker or similar to get you a loan or mortgage, was it pre or post 2005? Did you get finance direct from them or from a broker?

You don't need to use resolver though, just send your complaint direct in the post

They appear to be still trading though could have changed name

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

  • It was from them,
It was a loan secured against the property,
    It was before 2005

    Thanks again Nas,

Swift advances, Brentwood became authorised on 31st October 2004.

So, anything arranged prior to that date cannot be complained about.

If the firm was regulated or a member of an earlier body then complaints need to be considered and the Jan 2005 regulation date doesnt matter. Membership such as the ABI or GISC. That is mainly the banks and the insurers. Not small brokerage firms, car dealers, estate agents, IFAs, solicitors or accountants.
