Depends where the person is cleaning. You have to remember why CRB checks came into use so much0

Hard to believe it was 16 years ago.0 -
Going back to the OP, it appears to be cleaning for an agency?
They will have multiple clients, some where a DBS is a requirement, some where it is not.
As they may require their cleaners to go to any of their sites for holiday/sickness cover, then all staff require a DBS check. They aren't going to keep two lists.0 -
This is an extremely good starting and end point..... https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/674523/Guide_to_eligibility_v9.pdf0

I was thanking a poster for their useful link.
The fact you had posted it again was irrelevant. They posted it first so I thanked them.0 -

Being in contact with the public is something even sex offenders and rapists have the luxury of doing.
If “vulnerable people” are being worked with, they should also be supervised via policy and procedures. Eg working in a school and not being in a classroom with a child by yourself.
Sorry sex offenders should be supervised in school?
Did you just ignore the word ‘unsupervised’...
I’ll keep an eye on any of your future threads; it seems you’re not actually looking for advice0 -
But sex offenders who have been punished have got unsupervised access to the public at all times.... so you can be sure there are a few people working around you who are sex offenders.
Sex offenders won!!!8217;t get a job in school as the school would require a DBS check. Sweeping the streets wouldn!!!8217;t require a DBS according to the list provided earlier on (I would have to double check but I!!!8217;m sure it doesn!!!8217;t).
So yes you can give advice but remember it!!!8217;s an opinion not facts.0
