This is one of the simplest yet most informative articles I have ever read

I always feel more comfortable backing a rising comodities market with by-proxy investments. The recent rise of gold has been strongly reflected in the share price of Rio Tinto PLC. Gains of 45%+ have been achievable over the last three months. The chart below shows Rio's shares against the FTSE All Share index, hope it's of interest.Save some money for a rainy Dave!

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures rallied Friday to close above $800 at their highest level in nearly 28 years, boosted by rallying crude-oil prices and dollar weakness. Gold for December delivery rallied $14.80 to finish at $808.50 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Earlier, the contract hit an intraday high of $810.70, a level not seen since 1980.
