Tesco Laptop Winners - Good Luck everyone

I am still in a bit of a daze here so please bear with me.

Just had a large parcel delivered.
Was only expecting DVDs, etc so was trying to think if I had ordered anything that size.
Opened the box and a laptop was inside?????
No invoice, advice note etc so had no idea where it had come from, but it was addressed to me - name and address correct.

Then panic set in. Had someone used my card and was planning on intercepting it upon delivery?
Rang hubby so he said check our accounts. Went online and checked credit card and bank accounts but no there was nothing suspect there.
Hubby said keep it, but I'm too honest for my own good.

Didn't know what to do, so rang the courier company to ascertain who the sender was. They gave me the company's name and telephone number so I gave them a call.

Explained that I'd had a laptop delivered but I didn't order it and there were no details inside and that it was unlikely to be a gift (don't know anyone that generous! lol)

Anyway, the lady in C/S was very helpful, took my details and said she'd put me on hold whilst she checked.
She came back to me and I've only won it in a competition I entered with Tesco!
I can't believe it! I think the lady on the 'phone thought I was mental!
I never received a letter/email/call from Tesco telling me I had won so this came totally out of the blue.

Hubby said our 8yo son will be pleased??? Erm no, this baby is all mine!

Yes it was, but I had forgotten all about it so never checked the list on here!

I never got a letter from Tesco though, but the lady I called said it had all been a bit of a rush by Tesco.

Only started doing comps on here on the 1st October, and tbh got a little disheartened when I couldn't even win a Shrek instant win! lol
I stopped doing them about 2 weeks ago as we had a dreadful time - had to have our beloved 14yo cat put to sleep so my heart wasn't in it.
This couldn't have come at a better time.
I'm still in shock.

What a fantastic surprise Clutterfree! Now we will all be listening out for the door in case we get a delivery! Really sorry to hear about your cat, though. Hope this will take your mind off it a bit. Enjoy your first win!

Yay, mine just arrived too :T I'm so excited, it's much better than I'd expected. Hopefully everyone else will receive theirs today (or come home to a 'sorry you were out' card) They seem to be arriving by courier.

Wonder what happened to our letters though?

Just had a play on mine but find the "mouse" pad hard to use.
I think a trip to PC World will be on the cards this weekend so I can get it set up for the web.

I haven't a clue! It was a man in a red and black jacket with one of those electronic signature thingies. I didn't see his van I'm afraid.

I'm off work ill today so this really cheered me up. I'm also glad I was here to take delivery.
