I want to buy a case on eBay for it.

It doesn’t say on the box or the iPad, or the ad!

Goto Settings , on the left at the top is your name tap that then it should show the name and under that This iPad xxxx

The cases come in iPad Air 1 & 2 and ipad 2, 3 & 4.
No iPad 2018, that will be why I can’t find it.

After the air 2 was the IPad 2017. The dimensions are the same for the latest iPad 2018.

So if you find a case for the iPad 2017 (which there are plenty of around), it should fit the 2018 ok.

The cases are listed as iPad Air 1 & 2 and ipad 2, 3 & 4.

It is not called an iPad 4

If you bought that iPad from that site and its claiming its a 2018 iPad then you have the iPad 6th generation

From Apple own website it tells you how to verify its the model with the numbering on the back of the device.

No, the 2018 is the same size as the 2017, which are slightly bigger than the older air 2.

Search ebay for ipad 2017 (or 2018) case.

My grandson has picked a case, it comes in

iPad Air 1 & 2 and ipad 2, 3 & 4.

I guess he can’t have it.
