Forgive me if this has been asked several times before, but is there a company that will carry out a credit report going back several years (like 20!). This is in relation to a PPI claim through Barclays and Barclays are now asking questions such as what savings and life insurance I had at the time of taking out my PPI which was 19 years ago!?
Please advise/HELP

No they will only keep data for 6 years

If you don't remember, tell them that. Otherwise piece together what you can. For instance, think about where you worked and when. Were you in a pension scheme? If you were, how much death-in-service benefit did you have? Give them that for life cover.

They should have the information on the accounts etc for at least six years after they were last closed. So that is a start. If I were you I would tell them everything you thought you had, and leave it to them to work out what you actually had and when!
