Terracotta floor tiles (Tile question 2)

We are intending to floor our new living room with terracotta tiles. These are quite thick and heavy, and I've never worked with them before.

The installation instructions go into great depth on finishing them, but not on laying them.

Has anyone worked with this style of tiles? Any tips, tricks or techniques?
