PVC d/g opening windows.

Options
This is just a heads-up to those who don't have spare cash for tradesmen unless absolutely necessary.

My opening side lights would open fine (although a bit squeaky) but when I closed them they didn't fit tight down the side towards the bottom at the hinge edge. The bottom corner didn't sit tight, although a push from outside and they were fine.

I did consider, very briefly, calling a glazier but decided to have a try at fixing the problem myself before doing that. All the windows were affected to some extent, some worse than others. The sliding mechanism is all in good condition, no rust or breaks.

A squirt of silicone spray fixed all ten windows in as many minutes. Cost £2.50. Dread to think what a glazier might have charged.
