I've spent the day feeling more exhausted than ever

Scratch that. I forgot the feeling of complete and utter exhaustion when babies decide nighttime is not the time for sleeping. Today I actually feel more exhausted than ever! I'm not sure what was different in our routine yesterday but praying we can go back to sleeping through tonight.

Weekly shop done today. It's a few days early but we needed a top up of milk and flour, and have a busy week including DC3s hospital appointment so got it all out of the way today. Only £35.10 including DS3s baby milk and a good haul of half price meats and fish. Won't need to shop again until we are into the new month and we will be keeping a close eye on the total monthly spend.

Not looking like I will earn any extra cash today so, including my £7.66 prolific earnings, I have made an extra £57.16 this week. It's not the £100 I was aiming for, but I don't think it's a bad start.

DH has work tomorrow :j so our budget is close to balancing for August, providing no unexpected spends crop up.

We have a first birthday party to attend next weekend - any suggestions of cheap but useful gift for a 1 year old would be appreciated!

I'm feeling almost human again today. DC3 slept through until 6 (I think he would have slept longer but DHs alarm may have woken him). Have woken to a £3.50 sale and am setting myself a target to make an additional £145 to pay DC1s performing arts fees before they are due at the end of Aug.

    Progress so far £3.50/£145.00

    Hi,

All the best with your debt busting. :)

I think your benefits amount looks a bit low children, although I know your OHs income isn't in your SOA, I just wondered if you have checked you are getting everything you are entitled to.

    Hi, thanks for stopping by!

I feel like our tax credits are really low this year (almost half what they were last year). I had to update their figures as they hadn't made the appropriate deductions for my maternity pay, but it hasn't made any difference to our entitlement. I'm hoping they will process our renewal fairly soon then we can see if we're owed anything.

My maths is rubbish tonight! Just updated it again and I'm £4 away! Do I transfer my PayPal balance? Was aiming to keep this months earnings together until there's enough to cover performing arts fees, but do I pay it off the credit card and start again tomorrow with the selling?

Get it transferred so you're in the 28's then you'll have the next bracket to aim for :-) xx

I did it! I did it! I did it!

Transferred £5, leaving around £8 in PayPal towards the performing arts fees. So, once the payment completes it will look like:

    Description....................Debt......Monthly.. .APR
    Barclaycard....................8374......160...... .0
    RateSetter ....................4000......87.64.....7.4
