Gradual disappearance of Prize Draw competitions

Has anyone else noticed how the number of prize draws is dropping fast - at the expense of those 'instant wins' which the odds alone tell you are virtually impossible to win?!
In Style magazine used to have some great competitions; now there is just one that ends at the start of August. All 36 of the other 'competitions' listed are instant wins. Similarly with Look magazine, except everything listed is now instant wins.
I don't think it's coincidence that these two titles are owned by Time Inc.(TI Media) which suggests it may be a new policy. The thing is, if no-one protests, they will think what they're doing is perfectly acceptable and that the comping population don't really mind. If you ARE worried then please can I suggest you get in touch with them and tell them of your concerns?
They make it hard to get in touch with them but from previous correspondence, I've had a reply from: help@mymagazine.com
Would be very interested to hear what others think...

Why would you be worried? They are under no legal obligation to run competitions so how they choose to run them is entirely up to them. If its a prize draw you go on the site, click enter and you're done. If its an instant win, you'll keep going back to enter if you want to win something, therefore generating more ad revenue for the site.. so thats more beneficial for them. I see hundreds of competitions I don't like the format of.. I just don't enter them.

It is perfectly acceptable. I don't think they run competitions for the comping population. They run them for readers of the magazines/websites and often to obtain new readers/visitors. I regularly use sites now that I discovered through comping.0 -

^This.
Sites that run comps are there to make money and they take the business decision that they feel helps the best with that.
They have obviously decided that the best way for them to achieve that is through more instant wins rather than prize draws.0 -

Zanzib posted back in May that Look magazine was closing which is why there has been a decline in prize draws on the website. The article states that Time Inc are going to focus on Marie Claire and there has been an increase in the prize draw competitions on Marie Claire's website.0 -

The sale of Time Inc finally completed the end of last month, but this article will give you some idea of the viewpoint of TI Media and their owners...

I don't enter c2w comps as these used to be on various sites years ago which were effectively just email gathering sites. I have never come across anyone who has won anything from them.
2025 Comps 2931: wins 3: value £1300
2024 Comps 13526: wins 13: value £14750 -

Clicks Win (C2W) from Bauer Media are legit and never produced any spam for me, I stopped doing them when the prizes became spread across far too many sites and ran for too long - before stopping I had over a dozen wins worth over £1,400 and there have been many other winners on the forum.
The Mag Dailies, Instant Wins by matching number combinations and some others are however connected to DMRI a company behind several sites on the spam list and a data harvester who (prior to GDPR) among other things used the info to locate for credit (bad debt) purposes etc. - The actual prizes were still legit.0
