printer settings user interface has stopped working??

Hi,

I have an epsom sx215 printer.....it still prints but when i try to change the ink cartridges it states :-

'printer settings user interface has stopped working'....

Any ideas of how to fix this?

    Assuming you have done the obvious reboot everything, ran printer diagnostics & uninstall/reinstall printer

    tried all that but there was no success.... is there any way of changing the ink by just using the printer? ie not to use the laptop 'printer maintenance' route?
