Hi
I have found a car insurance quote on moneysupermarket from Fluxdirect who seem to have mixed reviews - they seem to be a broker with the actual insurer listed as markerstudy ltd who again have mixed reviews
anyone had any experiences of either one of these - its £170 cheaper than the next best which is LV= and so thought it was worth checking out
I see LV= dont have great reviews either but i have used them before
if anyone can offer any advice that would be greatly appreciated

Flux have a terrible reputation in the car scene if/when you come to make a claim. So as long as you get through 12 months without making a claim there is no issues with flux (the main flux group /broker is called adrian flux all the rest are just offshoot brokers with slightly different insurance terms/requirements).
Markerstudy were pretty new to the market when I was insured with them many moons ago.
As with all brokers/insurance companies they are fine until you need to claim.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

however are Adrian flux ok for claims ? I am insured with them"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Thanks for that - what are the specific issues when coming to claim- delays getting payout etc or something different like trying to find ways out of paying
i have heard (reading trustpilot) that when you take out the policy that fluxdirect can ask for more money from you for specific reasons and also then cancel your policy if you dont pay the excess
i assume these are the odd scare stories
would really be interested to hear others views on how it has worked for them and also any issues when claiming
Privilege, LV and Flux who are the cheapest all seem to have poor reviews which is why i assume they are cheapest - so may just be worth risking
my premium has risen this year due to a not at fault accident hence having to shop around from these second tier providers to get the best deal0 -
All of the flux umbrellas have the same problems, delays, low payouts, customer service, repairs.
Use your browser for adrian flux reviews/flux reviews etc and make your own mind up.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

Sorry I cant quote posts off my phone!
I normally go to a comparison site like m.supermarket and see what they bring up. Soft searches are done on your credit file by some of the companies on there.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
ok thanks - adrian flux did come off monesupermarket but will look at other ones0

Adrian Flux actually has a rating of 8.5/10 out of 6000 reviews so not topo bad - fluxdirect seems to have a worse rating- will call them tomorrow and get a feel as to their quality on the phone0

problem is it doesn't tell which ones are naff, obviously from the forums here hastings and admiral and esp once call seem to be the ones to avoid"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
