Ebay tell me to lie!!!

So for several days I have been trying to get Ebay to tell me why my listing, Item number: 132698390400, for a house in France does not show when anyone searches for a "house in France"
After many frustrating messages I have now been told to change the item location to UK!
Just done that and will wait and see if that helps.

I did look at a couple of "house in France" listings and they all had their location set to towns in the UK.

    This is from Ebay!
Regarding the item location, please know that you are not saying incorrect thing in it. If you will check all the listings on the search result page, you will see that all the houses are in France, however, they have kept the item location as UK.

This is done to get the maximum visibility for your property. However, I can see that you mentioned in the title and description that the item is in France. So there is nothing to worry, as you are not sharing incorrect informations.

Please know that the system is designed in such a way that the listings which are having the item location of UK will be shown on the search result page first, and then if you are changing the item location to France, you will be shown with the property in France.

However, to sell the items faster and to get more visibility on UK site, we ask you to put the item location as UK and mention the correct details in theTitle and Description. If you wish you can put the item location as France, but then, you will also have to change the country and postcode from UK to France while searching for your property on the search result pages.

It is your location as the seller that needs to be set in the UK.

The "House in France" being the title

No it is not MY location that I had to change it is "item location" It just seems crazy that in order for it to show in a search on Ebay UK I have to state that a house in France is located in the UK and that Ebay tell me to list as such!

I get both the points being made here.
It mostly stems from people dropshipping stuff, I think they originally had "seller location" then had to change to "item location". The fact that Ebay can't tweak it for property sales says a lot about how Ebay is run.

I doubt that anyone will expect you to be selling a property in France and then actually have it stored in a garage in Rotherham :rotfl:

That said I was looking at places to stay on AirBnB and one "property" was a VW camper van so anything's possible!

Have you used ebay before? :)

I would stick a £5 bet down that someone has asked whether someone could deliver a building. :)
