error installing itunes.

hi there, i wonder if anyone can help with this little problem, i've just tried to install itunes (latest version) because i couldnt get a iphone to sync with my old version of itunes, i deleted the old itunes from the control panel (add and remove programs) tried re-installing and i now get a error everytime showing ''
cannot create directory 'C:/programfiles/quicktime//QTSystem/quicktimestreamingextras.resources/fr.iproj' A file with that name already exsists please rename or remove the file and click retry''


any idea on what i can do because now i haven't got itunes i cant even sync my old nano that i use to go to work with.

have you looked to see if that directory exists ??

if so look for the file and delete it

if not then try

to go back to before you removed the software

or try an install of quicktime on it's own if that fails, then re-install itunes
