We're writing to let you know that a device connected to your home network has been identified as having a potential Padding Oracle On Downgraded Legacy Encryption (POODLE) vulnerability.We’ll explain what this means and how to get it fixed.
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a security protocol for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a device. A POODLE vulnerability is a security issue where third parties can use this protocol to access personal and financial data being sent from your network or devices.
What has happened?
We suspect that by accident, the device has been misconfigured by you or someone in your home. If the settings are left unchanged, a third party could intercept data passing to and from the device.
To keep your personal and financial information safe, you’ll need to fix this vulnerability.
