Reclaim fees on Barclays Additions accounts 2002 and 2009

Options
Claiming in financial hardship (due to being defrauded) sending explanations and many bank statements re: fees charged over several years (statements back to 2002) started 2014 but no satisfactory decisions (fobbed off?) by Feb 2015 ,and did not continue due to circumstances then. Is it too late to pursue this claim?
Have kept all the relevant statements and letters from Customer Relations. Amounts to at least £1000 which is much needed.

Every letter from them was supposed to be replied to within 7 days and questionnaires they sent , but we're in Western Isles and in Winter 2015 there was a great deal of stormy weather and post arrived late. They also said they had tried to call the mobiles and texted but we had nothing from them. Mobile signal here in 2015 was appalling and often disappeared for several days (still pretty poor now.)

Are we too late or should we start again and ask them to investigate the claim.?
Any sensible advice would be appreciated

You can't claim back historic charges even for hardship, the claim needs to be done at the time. You're likely to be out of time for a complaint as well given it's over 3 years since your case was "fobbed off".

You can ask nicely about charges but likely if not in current hardship it will be rejected

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
