Slate floor tiles - supplier recommendation request

Hi, Looking for some advice from the mse community.
I am looking to buy a reasonable volume (~30m2) of slate flooring, personal preference is for the multi-coloured type.
So far I have come up with three potential suppliers but wanted to check for recommendations as all I can go on is online reviews which I personally don’t trust / believe.
The three I have short listed so far are:
- Wickes, I know there will be groans from the crowd on this one, but I like that they have a physical shop (in the event of the need for come back etc), the reviews are variable, therefore believable, and they seem (based on review) to replace broken tiles without any quibbles.
- Stone Tile Company, Cheaper than the Wickes tiles for similar looking product albeit thinner. One review so not much to go on. They have a trust pilot presence but generally I don’t think much of that platform so trust is low. I found them via an online search so have no knowledge of how decent a company they are. https://www.stonetilecompany.co.uk/natural-sheera-multicolour-slate-tiles-300x300mm
- Stone Direct, Again, cheaper than Wickes for a similar product. Around 60 reviews for the company but all 5star so I do not believe them. Again, I found them via an online search so have no knowledge of how decent a company they are. https://www.stone-directuk.com/store/Riven-Slate-Rustic-p72021467
Thanks,

I got mine from Wickes, it was quite a small area though and I wanted to go in an actually hand pick the tiles as there was tremendous variation in colour and quality. Only about 1 in 4 tiles were worth buying unless you wanted a very "rustic" look.
Having said that I hate Wickes and the customer service is truly appalling.0 -
I got mine from Wicks as I loved being able to handpick the ones I wanted. It was about 10 years ago now.
I would go to them again if I was going to do my kitchen in the country style again; when I get my own place that is!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Wickes and Travis Perkins are the same company but you've got more chance of haggling at Travis if you have one near by. The extras like grout and adhesive aren't too expensive there either.
Tile Giant is also part of the same group and generally speaking Travis should be able to get anything you see at Wickes or Tile Giant but doubtful they'd carry stock for you to pick through, they'd just ordered in from the central warehouse.
There seems to be good deals on tiles on eBay (and with most listings you can figure out where their website is) but whether they are helpful if something goes wrong is the question.
I've seen Walls and Floors recommended on this forum as well.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Just to add, we have slate flooring and it's very cold in the winter, well worth insulating the floor and maybe under floor heating if it's a room you spend time in like the kitchen. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
