KeithP advised signing, then scanning my Defence as a pdf to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk.

Is there any particular reason for submitting a signed copy? Since I'd have entered my Defence on MCOL without a signature anyway, presumably an email attachment will suffice?

They are required by law to mitigate their losses. The Parking Weasel should have warned you of the financial consequences of parking where you did.

If they did not, you can call them as a witness at the hearing and question them on what training they had received.

£240+ is rather on the high side, the maximum judges award if they find for the claimant rarely exceeds £200. Have you complained to your MP?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Thorsson: Yes; MCOL isn't advised because of formatting issues, word count, etc. But given this official medium doesn't allow signature, is it essential to sign and scan?

The Deep: He did notify me of the financial penalty, but only retrospectively, after he'd taken the photos and I'd agreed to move. Weasel indeed!
