i pad keeps dropping off

i have a 3 year old i pad air that after installing the latest update it keeps losing the wifi after it connects.i have have checked the router no problem as i can use my lap top.i have unplugged the router left it when i turn it on again still the same.i have reset network settings and reinstalled the wifi still keeps cutting out after a couple of minutes.i have read about renewing lease but that seems to complicated for me as i am not very tec minded

How old is the router? I've had similar, unexplained issues with older network infrastructure at our home users addresses with newer wireless devices. These have turned out to be compatibility issues.


Sounds like you've covered all other bases, see if you can test the ipad on someone elses home Wi-Fi first, otherwise it's probably a case of ringing your ISP and requesting a new router.

Not sure about the age of the router , i will give Virgin a call
