Holidays for 1 - dredded surcharges

Hi
Most hols I look at for me on my ownsome normally have a woppingly big surcharge cos Im on my own. Any ideas to get around this? Other ideas for hol for 1? (other than going in a pair or joining the 'singles' sites at even higher prices.

budget airline and http://www.hotelscomparison.com/ or thomsons acc site if you are like my mom and will only go to one hotel which saved her £700 by doing it that way rather than paying under occ supIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0

The most annoying thing is that some of the rooms will only fit one person in and they still surcharge you.
I have a simialr problem being a single parent, even though holiday companies charge me adult price for my 9yr old daughter they then add the single adult surcharge on top :mad:0 -

When we have gone with travelsphere on holiday a high proportion are lone travellers - it might be worth checking them out for charges etc.Smootchie Bootchies!0

Book a FLIGHT with Thomson and THEN add accommodation. You pay for 1 x flight price and the accomodation is priced PER ROOM. No surcharges, no extras!
