HSBC Historic Statements?

Good evening,
I know it’s probably a long shot but what is the likelihood of HSBC holding statements from 15 years ago?
I only ask because I went to the Police last year over something that happened in the past and some proof is needed I used to work for a well known retailer at the time.
The Police have been in touch with the store I used to work at and they only hold records locally for five years after an employee has left; I am hoping their head office will still have my details from back then but am not expecting them to.
Thanks for your help.

It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

Some banks will have the information although legally they need only keep them for 6 years.
Can you tell us what the statements will show that will help you/police?0 -
15 years? I don't think you've any chance of getting bank statements that old. 5 or 6 is usually the maximum and records from 15 years ago will most likely have been destroyed long since.0

Good afternoon, thanks for the replies.
I'd require the statements to prove I worked for the company at the time of my allegation as we were paid monthly by BACS. This is a request from the CPS.
I can't go into too much detail because a) it's an ongoing investigation and b) because of any legal ramifications but person X introduced me to person Y (who went onto commit the allegation) but person X is denying all knowledge of ever knowing me, so anything to prove I worked for said company would help massively. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. HMRC would probably be a better way of proving where you worked 15 years ago ???0

Do you have a policy of shredding or otherwise disposing of all of your records after x years?
Personally I'm a bit of a hoarder and would have no difficulty in locating my own copies of not just bank statements but payslips, P60s and employment-related correspondence for more than the past 15 years.
Granted, some of that is only in electronic form in more recent years but a documentation archive can come in useful - in the recent past I had to go through security vetting that (among many other questions) entailed declaring dates of any historic minor motoring offences and having a paper trail helped to locate an infraction in the early 1990s!
Anyway, that's probably all irrelevant if you haven't kept your records, but might act as a catalyst to start doing so now....
One other avenue potentially worth exploring - were/are you in the company's pension scheme?0 -
Do you have your P60 from your employment at this company? If not could be worth getting in touch with HMRC which could provide some details for you. Probably a better chance with them, then HSBC, who will have probably deleted (my automatic replacement of online statements) from your profile, I can only go back 6 years on my HSBC account.

When I'd moved house back in 2010 I had a good clear out so anything relating to my employment back then ended up being shredded as, at the time, I didn't consider going to the police over what had happened.
I've been on the HMRC website and have signed for the Personal Tax Account service; I can see my contributions for 2002-3 but that's all that's showing, unfortunately.
Thanks to everyone who's replied thus far. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
