I have to return a desktop computer to an ebay seller, which courier is cheapest and collects from your house?

Depends on size of packed box, weight and value of item. It's further complicated by the fact that many couriers won't insure certain parts of a PC system, so you would need to add a little more info before the courier gurus (not me!) can help you.

There are lots of cheap couriers but they are cheap for a reason, most don't cover computers and the like.

What is the reason for return and how long ago did you buy it?

Just in case you were not aware I think it worth reminding everyone about the ebay returns policy. If item is faulty it is up to seller to pay the return, they have 'told' you they will, but if you send this back you have no leeway to force them to do so especially if they think you have over paid postage.

Have you opened a case in ebay? If not do so now and ask for seller to arrange return or to send a label sufficient for the return on a pick up basis, that way they pay up front and can choose the level of insurance they want.

Getting a PC fully insured for return is not going to be cheap if you do it properly and don't skimp on insurance.

BTW- if you do decide to send it yourself we still need a fairly accurate weight and insurance value.

I got my computer sent back, it cost me £8.70.

It was sent by Parcel Force I paid online by PayPal and I took it to the local depot.

It was delivered the next day and I got my £8.70 refunded.

Did you get the original payment for the item and postage refunded too?

Next time, use the prepaid label that comes with eBay money back guarantee.
